Facilities

Abundant and State-of-the-Art

From our expansive waterfront and tournament ski boats, to state of the art fitness pavilion & teen lounge and rustic lodge and spacious recreation center, our list of summer camp facilities is extensive.

Facilities Overview

A Wealth of Choices

Creating a community means providing children with the best camping traditions, but also creating a comfortable, safe living space for them. A bunk of campers is only as solid and as welcoming as the building they inhabit. At Modin, our modern, spacious cabins provide that sense of belonging—a place where everyone can be together.

The facilities at Modin are first class. From our expansive waterfront and tournament ski boats, to our state of the art fitness pavilion and teen lounge, to our rustic lodge and spacious recreation center, the list of facilities is truly extensive.

Yet it is not these facilities that define us. Rather, it is the quality of our program and the commitment of a dedicated team of staff that afford us the opportunity to provide each child with a safe, diverse, well-rounded and unforgettable camping experience.

“The environment you created at Camp Modin is a huge part of who my daughter has become—a caring, responsible and a compassionate human being.”

– Darlene, Los Angeles, CA

Cabin Life

Spacious and Modern

All cabins at Modin are spacious and modern. The average building is only a few years old and all facilities are well maintained. Cabins feature showers, toilets and sinks with hot & cold water. All beds are modern, twin size wooden structures and the mattresses fit twin-size sheets. On average, there are two bunks per age with twelve children and four counselors.

Dining Hall

A Variety of Healthy and Nutritious Options

Meals at Modin are served family style, affording campers the opportunity to further connect as bunkmates. Our Kosher dining facilities offer an extensive range of healthy options and choices for a variety of tastes and palates. We are able to accommodate many allergy restrictions including gluten free diets and nut allergies. During the week we eat in our dining hall in three shifts, either by age or gender. On Friday evening our community eats together for Shabbat in our spacious Rec Center. Throughout the summer our community also enjoys full camp outdoor cookouts.

“Modin has become a ‘home away from home’ for our son. His emotional growth and development is evident to us. His confidence and sense of himself have been nurtured at Modin and have provided him wonderful new growth opportunities. He cherishes the many different bonds he has been able to forge with his counselors and bunkmates. As parents, we are deeply grateful.”
