In the aftermath of the first World War, their goal was to create a haven where children would be free to grow. In the aftermath of the first World War, their goal was to create a haven where children would be free to grow as individuals, forge lifelong friendships, and develop their Jewish identities as members of a nurturing community.  In the decades to follow, thousands of friendships would flourish among Modin campers and staff from around the world. Since 1922, thousands of artists, thinkers, philanthropists, and children have spent the most important and memorable summers of their lives at Camp Modin, and have gone on to carry the Modin philosophy with them into their individual and collective communities.  Today Camp Modin is among America's oldest overnight camps and New England's oldest Jewish camp, representing over eighty-five years of pursuing Jewish ideals and fostering lifelong friendships.
